What is Aluminum?

Aluminum is a silvery white ductile metal that is both soft and light in weight. Aluminum is the most abundant metal on earth. It is the third most abundant element. By weight, aluminum makes up approximately 8% of the earth’s surface.

Due to it’s low density and high resistance to corrosion, aluminum is a vital material in aerospace.
